“Dancing with the Stars” Held at the Academy

On December 17, 2025, the stage of the Training Theatre hosted the traditional project of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Dancing with the Stars.

This is one of the most anticipated events of the year, where students of the Faculty of Choreography and the Faculty of Arts demonstrate their skills in the genre of competitive ballroom dance.

Over the course of two weeks, students of the educational program Sports Ballroom Dance Instructor conducted intensive training for students of the Art Management program. They introduced them to the technique and style of sports ballroom choreography, staged dance routines, and helped them reveal themselves from a new artistic perspective.

At the final concert, the participants presented the audience with the results of their joint creative work—bright, emotional, and professionally performed dances, ranging from tango to cha-cha-cha.

The competition nominations were awarded as follows: Most Striking Star Couple – Alem Musaifov and Alina Bazarbayeva (Salsa) For charisma, stage presence, and strong connection with the audience.

Best Duo of the Project – Gleb Borisov and Shugyla Igilik (Viennese Waltz) For partnership, trust, and the integrity of the performance.
