Today, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography welcomed a delegation from Hanlim Arts High School, one of South Korea's leading educational institutions in the field of arts and performing arts training. The main objectives of the visit were to learn about Kazakhstan's system of training specialists in choreographic art and to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.
The foreign delegation included Lee Sang-joon, Co-founder and Director of External Relations at Hanlim Arts High School, and Ho Nam-jin, Dean of the Faculty of Arts. The guests were given a detailed tour of the Academy’s facilities and creative infrastructure. Representatives of the South Korean school toured the ballet studios, creative art laboratory, residential block, medical unit, children's library, museum, and a modern sports complex with a swimming pool.
According to Lee Sang-joon, the highlight of the visit was the Academy’s top-tier equipment and the full-cycle environment created for students. He noted that the unique format of an autonomous campus differs fundamentally from South Korean practice.
"We are genuinely impressed by the Academy's facility equipment and infrastructure. A full-cycle environment for children's education, living, and holistic development has been created here – from professional studios to an on-site medical center and swimming pool. In South Korea, the practice of establishing such large-scale autonomous campuses is not common, so it was interesting for us to explore your approach. It is remarkable what high results have been achieved in just 10 years," he said.
The final stage of the visit was an official meeting between representatives of Hanlim Arts High School and Bibigul Nussipzhanova, Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. During the talks, the parties discussed key issues regarding the development of professional choreographic education, knowledge sharing, and potential areas for joint collaboration.
