Dina Nurpeisova: The Personality of the Kui, Destiny, and Philosophy

On January 29, 2026, a lecture-workshop titled “Dina Nurpeisova: The Personality of the Kui, Destiny, and Philosophy” was held in the conference hall of the Academy. The event was conducted by Toktagan Aitolqyn, PhD, a lecturer at the K. Baisseitova Kazakh National University of Arts, who delivered an informative and insightful lecture.

During the lecture, the audience deeply immersed themselves in the creative world of Dina Nurpeisova, one of the most iconic figures in the history of dombra art.

The meeting thoroughly examined Dina’s performance school, the distinctive features of her musical language, the phenomenon of her personality, and her historical place in Kazakh kui art.

In addition, the author donated her monograph “The Spiritual World of Dina Nurpeisova’s Kuys” to the library. This event enabled participants to view the kui not only as a musical composition, but also as a profound spiritual and cultural phenomenon.
