Doctoral students of the Academy undertake a Research internship in Tashkent

Second-year doctoral students of the “Art Studies” program, Serik Kazy¬rkanovich Zhunusov and Saida Dulatovna Sattibayeva, are undertaking a research internship at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

As part of the internship, the doctoral students visited the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan. During the visit, they became acquainted with the exhibition “Muloqot: Meros va Nigoh / Dialogue: Heritage and Perspective”, featuring works by stage designers Georgy Brim and Shukhrat Abdumalikov. In addition, the doctoral students explored an exhibition dedicated to the creative legacy of the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, Ural Tansykbaev, which allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of the traditions of the national art school.

The gallery visit became a significant stage of the internship, enabling the doctoral students to broaden their professional knowledge, engage with both contemporary and classical artistic trends, and take part in the international scientific and artistic dialogue.

An important component of the internship was a consultation with the doctoral students’ international supervisor, Doctor of Art History, Professor K.B. Akilova, who provided recommendations on their research work and outlined promising directions for future scientific studies.
