On August 19, 2024, a unique exhibition of works by famous Indonesian artists and photographers will open at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. This event was organized by the Indonesian Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan together with its partner university, the Indonesian Institute of Arts Denpasar, and dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Kazakhstan.
The exhibition is planned to be attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. M. Fajroel Rahman, as well as the rector of the Indonesian Institute of Arts Denpasar, Dr. I Wayan Adnyana.
Visitors will be presented with about 20 works of art, which reflect the key themes of humanism, interaction between man and nature, tolerance, feminine power and natural energy. The central place in the exhibition is occupied by the philosophical ideology of Indonesia – Pancasila, which includes five fundamental principles that underlie Indonesian statehood and the model of building a society of “justice and prosperity”.
In addition, the exhibition will also feature various dances from ISI Denpasar and Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. These works showcase the diversity of the arts, especially traditional Balinese dances, which continue to evolve like tree branches, strengthening their roots in Indonesian culture.
The exhibition will be an important step in strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Indonesia and will promote mutual understanding and respect between peoples, enriching cultural heritage and expanding the horizons of perception of the world.
