An Explanatory Meeting Held at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Ahead of the Referendum on Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan

An explanatory meeting dedicated to the upcoming national referendum on introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The event was organized within the framework of information and awareness-raising activities and aimed to enhance the legal literacy and civic responsibility of students and staff of the Academy.

The meeting featured speakers including Deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan — Kazanstev Pavel Olegovich and Altai Amanzhol Duisenbayuly, as well as Maslikhat Deputy Tazhimuratov Gabit Kalievich.

Among the invited experts was Khangeldina Sungkar Kosmanapkyzy, a member of the National Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In her address, she highlighted the social and demographic aspects of the proposed constitutional amendments, emphasizing their importance for strengthening the institution of the family, protecting motherhood, and safeguarding women’s rights.

The meeting was also attended by political analyst Aigerim Serikzhanova and Sanira Oryntayevna Zhusupova, Chairperson of the Yesil District Headquarters.

During the meeting, participants discussed the key provisions of the proposed amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, their legal and social significance, and had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers. Particular attention was given to issues of civic engagement, responsibility, and informed participation in the referendum.

Holding such meetings within the Academy contributes to fostering an active civic position among young people, developing legal culture, and strengthening dialogue between representatives of public authorities, the expert community, and educational institutions.
