At the “Astana Opera” Theatre, a truly magical moment took place—the ceremonial graduation event for the students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. This occasion marked the culmination of their long, challenging educational journey and the beginning of a bright new future for these young artists. The celebration brought together faculty, parents, and numerous guests, all gathered to extend their heartfelt congratulations on this significant milestone in their careers and lives.
During the awards ceremony, Artistic Director of the Academy, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Altynai Asylmuratova, Rector Bibigul Nussipzhanova, and the leading soloist of the “Astana Opera” ballet troupe, Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Madina Unerbayeva, each delivered warm felicitations and sincere wishes to the graduates as they embark on their promising paths.
“…I truly hope you will find your place and be very happy! Don’t squander your time, for it passes quickly. So work on yourselves, continually improve, and be joyful!” emphasized Artistic Director Altynai Asylmuratova.
 
In her speech, Rector Bibigul Nussipzhanova reflected:
“Dear graduates! Today is a special and emotional day for all of us. You are leaving the walls of your alma mater—this Academy where you have received knowledge, upbringing, and a love for the arts. You are the future of our culture, the pride and hope of our country. May your creative journey be bright and inspired, and may your professional mastery continue to grow. May your future be radiant, and your path—happy and successful!”
This year, 117 students graduated from the Academy, 14 of whom received diplomas with honours. Among them were 54 graduates from the School-College of Vocational Education in the field of “Choreographic Art,” with qualifications as “Ballet Artist” and “Dance Ensemble Artist”; 42 bachelor's degree students in the following fields: “Pedagogy of Choreographic Art”, “Ballet Mastery,” “Art Management,” and “Art History”; and 21 master's degree students in “Choreography,” “Art History,” and “Art Management.”
It is noteworthy that the Academy also celebrated the graduation of international students from Indonesia, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, a testament to its growing global ties.
One of them, Indonesian master’s graduate Agung Saputra in “Choreography”, shared: “This has been a great experience for me. I’m very happy to have completed my studies. Many thanks to all the professors, lecturers, and staff of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.”
Bachelor’s graduate in “Pedagogy of Choreographic Art” Bekali Aiza also expressed her gratitude: “…It’s even a little sad—by this time, we’d grown attached to the Academy and our teachers. We wish to express our great gratitude for their mentorship and lessons. There were so many fascinating masterclasses offered by the Academy. The entire period of study was very full, interesting, and wonderful!”
