December 1 at 15.00 hours in the library of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography will be the presentation of the first encyclopedia "Choreographic Art of Kazakhstan". The book is published within the framework of realization of the grant scientific project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of scientific and creative laboratory "ONER Lab" of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The authors were leading teachers, masters and doctoral students of this educational institution, as well as researchers from other higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.

Encyclopedia "The Choreographic Art of Kazakhstan" is the first extensive reference book in the history of national choreography, reflecting the process of development of the national choreographic art of Kazakhstan from its inception in 1934 to the present day.

The book includes articles on 248 personalities, 180 performances, 32 creative teams, 5 educational institutions, 9 choreographic competitions and festivals.

The encyclopedia is illustrated with photo portraits of coryphees and leading figures of Kazakhstani choreography, photos of scenes from performances and performances of ensembles. Photographs from personal archives of the theater and ensemble figures, archives of creative teams, open Internet sources were used for design.

On the basis of the encyclopedia published in printed format, an electronic version of the same name was created - a specialized website in Kazakh, English and Russian languages http://kazchoreography.kz. The site was created in order to expand the audience and availability of information for researchers of national choreography both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
