Today, an international online master class with the Kazan State Institute of Culture took place at the capital's Academy of Choreography. Under the guidance of Alfiya Kaveeva, head of the department of choreographic art of the foreign university, young artists demonstrated the first elements of modern choreography to the audience.
In turn, students of the 1st year of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography familiarized foreign students with the basics of national dance. By the end of the year the academy will organize another master class, but already on the basics of sports and ballroom dance.
Our national dance is very rich in movements of arms, body, legs, and all this under the magnificent Kazakh music. I think that we were able to plant a seed of interest in the students of Kazan Institute and now they will be interested not only in Kazakh national dances, but also in the history and traditions of Kazakhstan, shared Dean of the Faculty of Choreography Aitolkyn Turginbaeva.
The master class is held within the framework of the international project of double-diploma education. In August 2021 between the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and Kazan State Institute of Culture signed an agreement on the implementation of the double degree program. To participate in the program, students need to complete the second year of their bachelor's degree, and then apply to study at the Kazakh Academy or at an institute in Tatarstan.
This year Akbayan Serikkazina became the first swallow of the educational program. She is studying in the direction of "Pedagogy and Choreographic Art" and now continues to hone her skills at the Kazan State Institute of Culture. Upon graduation from the Institute, Akbayan will be awarded diplomas of both universities, said Aitolkyn Turginbaeva, Dean of the Faculty of Choreography.
To date, three courses of students have been recruited under the agreement on the implementation of the double diploma program. In the near future, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography plans to expand international cooperation and conclude agreements with world-class universities.
