Kazakh National Academy of Choreography welcomed Chinese dancer and choreographer Marziya Mutailifu.

From May 25 to 30, 2026, as part of her creative visit, she will conduct a series of master classes for students and stage a Mongolian dance performance that will become part of the Academy’s repertoire.

Marziya Mutailifu is a professional dancer with more than 20 years of stage experience. She was born in Yining, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China, and graduated from the Guangdong Choreographic School with a degree in Chinese Dance. For many years, the artist worked at the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture Song and Dance Theater in China, where she participated in major cultural projects and international tours.

The choreographer specializes in Chinese, Mongolian, Kazakh, and other folk dance productions, as well as traditional vocal art. Throughout her creative career, Marziya Mutailifu has repeatedly become a laureate of prestigious competitions and festivals and has participated in large-scale national cultural events in China and international art projects.

In 2024, the production “Happy Life of Skilled Daughters-in-Law,” featuring the artist, received a bronze award at the 2nd Xinjiang Culture and Arts Festival. In 2025, she participated in the Xinjiang International Dance Festival and performed in Kazakhstan as part of a special concert program.

The Academy believes that creative cooperation with international specialists opens new opportunities for students’ professional growth, exposure to various performance schools, and expansion of their artistic horizons.
