The II Talent Summit for Children and Youth of Kazakhstan and Russia Held in Astana

From April 24 to 26, 2026, the II Talent Summit for Children and Youth of Kazakhstan and Russia took place in Astana, hosted at Nazarbayev University and various cultural venues across the city.

Vice-Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, Aigul Yessentemirova, took part in the Summit. The program included an opening ceremony, presentations of finalist projects from the “Big Challenges” competition, and a cultural event attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva. The event focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of education and culture.

A key outcome of the Summit was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Talent and Success Educational Foundation, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Akimat of Astana. The document предусматривает implementation of major educational initiatives, including the construction of the International General Education School “Kazakhstan – Sirius,” the establishment of a Center for Working with Talented Youth and a Youth Science Park in Astana, as well as the development of related infrastructure in Almaty.

The Summit program also featured master classes, literary events, project intensives, professional development programs for teachers, and a series of roundtable discussions. Special attention was given to workforce development: the parties agreed to implement joint educational programs at all levels, including cooperation with Sirius University.
