On September 16, 2025, the Academy hosted an information session for international students and faculty members to explain the migration legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Currently, the Academy hosts 23 international students from countries such as Russia, Kyrgyzstan, the USA, Japan, Uzbekistan, China, and others. Some of them are studying under academic mobility programs.
The session was led by M.K. Dosmangabetova, Lead Specialist of the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations, who explained the key provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Population Migration" dated July 22, 2011, and the Law "On Fingerprint and Genomic Registration" dated December 30, 2016, which came into force on January 1 of this year.
The department regularly carries out registration procedures for foreign students with the migration authorities, facilitates the issuance of temporary residence permits, and monitors compliance with stay regulations. In addition, the department submits necessary documents to obtain visa support numbers for foreign nationals requiring long-term Kazakhstani visas.
