Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Joins TÜRKÜNİB

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography has become a member of the Union of Universities of Turkic States (TÜRKÜNİB) under the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

At the summit of the Council of Turkic States, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to create conditions for the development of academic mobility and the strengthening of intercultural dialogue among students. According to him, this will open opportunities for citizens of Turkic countries to study in other Turkic states, and he called for supporting and implementing this idea within the framework of the Union of Turkic Universities.

TÜRKÜNİB is an international association of universities of Turkic states operating under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The goal of the Union is to develop cooperation in higher education, science, and academic mobility among universities of the Turkic world.

The main mission and focus of the Union is to promote academic cooperation among universities of Turkic states. This includes organizing student and faculty exchanges (including the Orhun Academic Exchange Program), joint scientific research, conferences, projects, and publications, strengthening cultural and educational ties among countries and universities of the Turkic states, as well as the unification and harmonization of educational standards and the mutual recognition of academic qualifications.

For Kazakhstan and the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, joining TÜRKÜNİB plays a significant role in advancing educational integration. It provides an excellent opportunity to expand opportunities for students and faculty, as well as to strengthen cultural and scientific ties among the participating countries.

Several universities in Kazakhstan are also members of the Union, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Nazarbayev University, and others.

The Union of Universities of Turkic States was established in 2013 at the initiative of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States with the aim of integrating education across the Turkic world. The activities of the Union are coordinated through general assemblies, where representatives of universities discuss strategic issues and admit new members.

The Union brings together dozens of universities from OTS member countries such as Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as Hungary within the framework of educational cooperation. The total number of member institutions exceeds 170.
