The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography will host the International Festival-Competition of Young Choreographers dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War

Since 2021, the Academy has been implementing a number of significant events organized to support young choreographers. On April 18, 2022 a competition in honor of the 75th anniversary of the outstanding figure of choreographic art of Kazakhstan Mintai Tleubaev was held. On March 28, 2023, an International Competition dedicated to the memory of legendary Kazakhstani ballet master Bulat Ayukhanov was held, and on April 5, 2024, a competition dedicated to the memory of the great Kazakhstani ballet master Zaurbek Raybayev was held. These events were widely recognized in the professional community and became an important stage in strengthening continuity in the national choreographic school.

From 7 to 10 April 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography will host the International Festival-Competition of Young Choreographers, organized with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States. The event will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War - an important historical and cultural date for our peoples.

The festival will be attended by young choreographers - students of higher and postgraduate education organizations from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main goals of the festival-competition are to develop spiritual and moral qualities of talented young people, support and reveal their creative potential, exchange of experience and knowledge.

The program of the festival promises to be rich and various. On April 8, master classes from famous masters of choreographic art will be held as part of the grand opening. On April 9, the competition program will continue on the stage of Astana Ballet Theatre, where 29 participants of the festival will perform within the framework of the II round. The closing ceremony and Gala Concert of laureates will be held on April 10 on the same stage.

The organization of the festival in 2025 will have an important impact on the popularization of choreographic art and strengthening of cultural ties between the CIS countries.
