On 1 July 2026, the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, adopted through the national referendum held on 15 March 2026, entered into force. This historic milestone marks the beginning of a new stage in the country's development, reflecting a comprehensive modernization of the political system, the strengthening of democratic institutions, and the further advancement of civil society.

The event carries special symbolic significance, as the national referendum was held on 15 March, the opening day of the nationwide Nauryznama celebrations. Choosing this date emphasized the close connection between the constitutional reforms and the values of unity, harmony, renewal, and progress embodied by Nauryz. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the new Constitution would serve as a solid foundation for achieving the country's strategic goals and stressed that the beginning of the new constitutional era is inseparably linked to the spirit of renewal symbolized by Nauryz.

The new Constitution establishes updated principles of public governance, expands guarantees for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, strengthens mechanisms for public participation in decision-making, and provides a solid legal foundation for the country's sustainable socio-economic development.

For the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, the new Constitution is of particular importance as it reaffirms the state's commitment to the development of education, science, culture, and the arts, supports talented young people, promotes the preservation of the nation's cultural heritage, and creates favourable conditions for training highly qualified professionals.

The Academy's staff supports the country's reform agenda and will continue contributing to the implementation of national policies in education and culture while preserving the finest traditions of Kazakh art and educating a new generation of professionals capable of representing Kazakhstan with distinction on the international stage.

The entry into force of the new Constitution opens new opportunities for the country's continued development, strengthening civic unity, improving the well-being of its citizens, and building a society founded on the principles of justice, the rule of law, and mutual respect.
