On December 6, 2025, a competition for the best performance of works by Kazakhstani composers among students of the school-college of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography was held at the Academy’s Training Theatre.

The competition was organized by the Department of Accompanist Mastery and Piano of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

The goals of the competition are to promote and popularize the works of Kazakhstani composers; to foster patriotic, spiritual, and moral values in students through immersion in the cultural heritage and musical traditions of Kazakhstan; to integrate national musical art into the educational and creative process of future ballet artists; to identify and support gifted students who demonstrate a high level of performance skills and a deep understanding of national musical culture; and to develop in future ballet artists the ability to work meaningfully with musical material, which forms the foundation for creating stage images in choreography.

Holding such competitions contributes to broadening students’ musical horizons, improving performance skills, developing interpretive abilities, stimulating creative activity, strengthening interdisciplinary connections, and expanding repertoire.
