Premiere of the Ballet “The Four Secrets of Eternity” at Astana Opera by Academy Graduate Sultanbek Gumar

The Astana Opera hosted the premiere of the ballet “The Four Secrets of Eternity”, staged by Academy graduate Sultanbek Gumar. The production was presented on the stage of the Grand Hall and became a notable event in the cultural life of the capital. This is a profound choreographic story that раскрывает, through the language of dance, four key states of the human soul: love, passion, struggle, and acceptance.

These themes are embodied in four pairs of performers, each reflecting emotions and inner experiences familiar to everyone, united by the overarching idea of eternity. The musical foundation of the production is based on works by composer Khamit Shangaliev, where national motifs are organically combined with contemporary academic sound. Music and choreography merge into a unified artistic space, where every movement, pause, and emotional accent is filled with meaning.

The scenography, lighting design, and costumes complement the plastic language of the performance, creating a cohesive visual composition. Each element contributes to раскрытие the inner world of a person, turning the stage into a reflection of human feelings and experiences. As part of the evening, the Nomad Ballet project was also presented — a creative platform by Sultanbek Gumar that combines elements of contemporary choreography, ethnic music, and national cultural codes. A special atmosphere was created by the performance of the ethno-folklore ensemble Hassak, whose compositions enriched the program and enhanced its emotional impact. Musical accompaniment was provided by the theater’s symphony orchestra and choir under the direction of conductor Ruslan Baimurzin.

The program featured striking pieces such as “Rukh,” “Toy Bastar,” “Aralym,” “Ansau,” “Alem,” and others, each serving as an independent artistic statement.

The premiere concluded with enthusiastic applause from the audience, becoming the main recognition of the production’s success and a vivid testament to its artistic power.
