Starting from November 22, 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is conducting professional development courses for teachers of secondary and supplementary education institutions under the program “Theory and Methods of Teaching Folk-Stage Dance.” This program is included in the List of Professional Development Educational Programs approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is intended to enhance the professional competence of leaders of dance clubs and choreographic ensembles, teachers of professional and amateur groups, dance studios, and educators in institutions of supplementary artistic and vocational education.
The relevance of the program is determined by the need to update the professional competencies of choreography teachers, aimed at improving methods of studying, performing, and teaching folk-stage dances, as well as developing coordination, musicality, and expressive dance skills. Starting from November 22, 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is also conducting professional development courses for teachers under the program “Theory and Methods of Teaching Eastern Dance,” which is included in the List of Professional Development Educational Programs approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The program is designed to enhance the professional competence of leaders and teachers of professional and amateur choreographic groups, dance studios, and educators in institutions of supplementary artistic and vocational education.
The relevance of the program is defined by the need to update the professional competencies of choreography educators, aimed at improving methods of teaching the dances of Eastern cultures (Uzbek, Uyghur, Tajik, Iranian, Syrian, Korean, Chinese), as well as developing coordination, expressiveness, and musicality.
Course Instructor: Saitova Gulnara Yusupovna, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, PhD in Art Studies, Professor, winner of the “Best University Teacher – 2020” award, Honorary Professor of the Uzbek National Academy of Choreography, author of more than 90 works on the dances of Eastern peoples, including textbooks and monographs.
The courses have a wide geographical reach: participants represent various regions of Kazakhstan, including the Ulytau, Zhetysu, Turkistan, Karaganda, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, West Kazakhstan, Mangystau, Almaty, and Kostanay regions, as well as the cities of Astana and Almaty.
