From Science to Art: Science Week 2026 to Be Held at the Academy

From April 13 to 17, 2026, the Academy will host Science Week 2026, bringing together students, master’s and doctoral candidates, faculty members, and international experts in the fields of science and art. The program includes conferences, competitions, lectures, and discussion platforms aimed at developing scientific potential and fostering the exchange of knowledge and experience.

On April 13 at 11:00 a.m., the opening of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Great Figures of the Great Steppe” will take place in the Assembly Hall. During the plenary session, research papers will be presented and key issues of historical and cultural heritage will be discussed. On the same day at 2:00 p.m., students will deliver presentations at the Academy’s Small Tribune in classrooms 462 and 455.

On April 14 at 10:00 a.m., a lecture will be held in room 455 by international researcher Professor Emilia Krasteva Kolarova-Gidishka, representing the Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy (Bulgaria). At 3:00 p.m., a competition for the best poster presentation among second-year master’s students will take place.

On April 15 at 11:00 a.m., a scientific seminar titled “Quality Criteria of Academic Writing: Verification and Publication Practice in ‘Arts Academy’” will be held in room 455. Participants will discuss modern requirements for academic publications. At 3:00 p.m., the “Best Art Project” competition will be held, aimed at supporting students’ creative and research initiatives.

On April 16 at 11:00 a.m., a roundtable discussion titled “The Ecosystem of Creative Industries in Kazakhstan: The Role of SMEs, Institutional Barriers, and Growth Points” will take place in the conference hall. Participants will explore the prospects for the development of the creative sector and its role in the national economy. At 3:00 p.m., the Republican competition “Best Scientific Publication” among young researchers in the field of art will be held.

On April 17 at 3:00 p.m., a Science Café titled “Acting Skills for Life” will be held in room 462. The speaker will be Maksim Yashchenko, an actor of the Maxim Gorky State Academic Russian Drama Theatre and a public speaking instructor. At 4:00 p.m., the official closing ceremony of Science Week 2026 will take place.

The events are organized by the Department of Science, Postgraduate Education, and Accreditation with the support of the Academy’s faculties. Science Week 2026 will serve as an important platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of research achievements, and strengthening academic collaboration.
