Science Week – 2025 has ended at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography

From April 14 to 18, 2025, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted Science Week 2025, which became a large–scale scientific and creative event that brought together students, teachers, researchers and international experts. Over the course of five days, the Academy turned into an intellectual and creative space where science and art joined in a powerful dialogue of tradition and innovation.

The opening ceremony of the week was marked by the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Great Personalities of the Great Steppe", which was attended by speakers from nine countries, including Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Georgia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and the United States. The focus was on the spiritual heritage of folk dance, cultural identity, women's leadership in science and modern art education. On the same day, a solemn ceremony was held to present awards and letters of thanks on behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, to the teachers and staff of the Academy for their significant contribution to the development of science, education and culture.

The section sessions continued the eventful program, during which more than 50 scientific reports were presented. A special place was taken by the "Small tribune of the Academy", a format created to support student and master's science. The research covered a wide range of topics, from choreography, art management, and ethnic culture to modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence in art.

The highlights of the week were the contests held in the Science Café space. The poster presentation competition brought together young researchers who presented relevant research projects completed as part of their final qualifying papers. The art project competition, in turn, became an example of a synthesis of scientific approach and artistic thinking: undergraduate students presented original concepts reflecting the themes of historical memory, peacemaking and social justice.

Special attention was drawn to the International Teleconference "Education in Art", where participants discussed key challenges and prospects for the development of art education in a global context. The teleconference has become an important platform for strengthening international academic dialogue and sharing best practices.

The creative focus of the week was the Reels video contest "Science at the Academy," in which participants expressed their vision of the role of science in choreographic and art education through short videos. The competition has become not only a platform for creative expression, but also an opportunity to popularize science among young people through digital culture.

Science Week 2025 demonstrated the high level of research and creative activity of the Academy, confirming its status as an international scientific, educational and cultural center. All the events were held in an atmosphere of intellectual inspiration, interdisciplinary collaboration and the desire to create humanistic values through art and science.
