A scientific seminar by doctoral student Almat Shamshiyev was held

On March 28, 2025, a scientific seminar was held at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography by second-year doctoral student Almat Shamshiyev, who is pursuing his Ph.D. under the educational program 8D02108 – “Choreography.”

During the seminar, the doctoral student presented the interim results of his dissertation research on the topic “Trends in the Development of National Male Dance in the Modern Sociocultural Context of Kazakhstan.” He also shared details of his upcoming research internship, which will take place from April 1 to April 30, 2025, at the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theatre and Film (Tbilisi, Georgia). The internship is part of a scientific cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

The event was attended by faculty members, academic advisors, and doctoral students of the Academy. The seminar sparked active discussion and engagement: participants asked questions, shared insights, and emphasized the relevance of the research topic in the context of preserving and developing national choreographic traditions.
