Student of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Wins the Super Grand Prix at the International "Wudao Shijie" Competition in Beijing

On 1 August 2026, the 15th International Dance Competition "Wudao Shijie" (舞蹈世界, "World of Dance") was held in Beijing, People's Republic of China, bringing together talented dancers from different countries around the world.

The competition's highest award, the Super Grand Prix, was won by Aktilek Mukhtarkyzy, a student of the choreography faculty of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

The competition featured 120 participants from various countries. Following the performances, the international jury awarded Aktilek the highest score of 9.86 points, making her the top-ranked contestant and the recipient of the competition's highest honor.

During the competition, Aktilek performed the choreographic composition "Sezim Tolqyny" ("Wave of Feelings"), set to music by Rustem Beisenuly. The choreography was created by Gaukhar Ismagulova, a doctoral student at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The performance received high praise from the international jury for its artistic depth, original choreographic language, and outstanding technical and expressive execution.

Aktilek Mukhtarkyzy's victory is another testament to the high standard of professional training provided by the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and further recognition of Kazakhstan's choreographic school on the international stage.
