TURAQTY JOL 6.0 UNITES ALL REGIONS OF KAZAKHSTAN IN A NATIONWIDE ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGN

On April 30, at 12.00 p.m., a nationwide eco-action took place on the territory of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography: tree planting, organized as part of the launch of the National Social Eco-Campaign TURAQTY JOL 6.0. The event is aimed at improving environmental culture and involving youth in sustainable development initiatives.

This project is being implemented in all regions of the country in the light of the initiative “Taza Kazakhstan” announced by the Head of State and the Roadmap for holding actions on the eve of the solemn event “TazaLike”.

TURAQTY JOL is an educational program aimed at fostering a thrifty attitude towards the native land among the younger generation through the inculcation of cultural, moral and environmental values. It is a continuation of five project cycles successfully organized by the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs in cooperation with the general partner of CenterCredit Bank, the official partner of Chevron company and the partner of eco company – HP Global Trading B.V.

The initiative is being implemented with the support of the Akimat of the Essil district of Astana, the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO and the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and the Regional Representative Office of the Kazakh National Federation of UNESCO Clubs in Astana on the basis of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The event was attended by Bakbergen Bakhytzhanovich Koishibaev, Deputy Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO and ISESCO, Kydyrbek Algatbekovich Darmeniyar Akim of the Essil district of Astana, Maksat Talgatovich Baybekov, Head of Programs at the Social and Humanitarian Sciences Sector of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty, Dinara Sadvakasova, Director of the Republican Educational and Methodological Center for Additional Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dinara Toybasarovna and Vice Rector of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography Yessentemirova Aigul Maratovna.

The planting of an alley of coniferous trees took place successfully as part of the event. The action demonstrated commitment to the ideals of sustainable development and served as a reminder of the importance of personal efforts in nature conservation.

A distinctive feature of this stage of the eco-campaign is its scale: similar events are held simultaneously in all 17 regions of Kazakhstan and cities of republican significance, bringing together thousands of participants.
