The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography is proud to announce the achievements of its students at the prestigious Arabesque 2024 ballet competition, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Ekaterina Maximova's birth, held in Perm, Russia.
This famous competition has brought together talented young artists from all over the world. The participants of our Academy have passed all the tests and demonstrated a decent level of professional training and artistic skills.
Zhanabil Ademi, a 1st year college student at the Academy, was awarded the title of the second Prize winner (junior group).
Aubakir Alikhan, a 1st year college student at the Academy, was awarded the title of the third Prize laureate (junior group).
In the first round of the competition, Aubakir Alikhan distinguished himself by his performance of a variation from the ballet "Satanilla". According to the jury, Alikhan set a high tone for the competition with his performance of the variation “Ocean” from the ballet “The Hunchback Horse”.
At the same time, Zhanabil Ademi impressed the audience with variations from the ballets “Armida Pavilion” and “Le Corsaire”, according to the jury, Ademi shone brightly on stage.
Aubakir Alikhan distinguished himself in the second round by concentrating on performing a variation from the "Big Classical Step". Zhanabil Ademi "competently and childishly sweetly" performed a variation from the ballet "Fairy of Dolls".
In the final third round, Zhanabil Ademi performed a variation of Medora from the ballet Le Corsaire and a variation from the ballet Paquita. Aubakir Alikhan performed Pierre's variation from the ballet "Halt of the Cavalry" and a variation from the ballet "Talisman".
These achievements are the result not only of the individual talent of each participant, but also of the diligent professional work of the Academy's teachers.
