On April 29, 2024, as part of the official visit of the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore, Cea Kian Peng to Kazakhstan, his wife, Mrs. Yap Hong Meng, made a cultural visit to the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. During the visit, Ms. Yap was presented with a unique program, including a tour of the main and significant places of the academy.

The tour began with a visit to the academy museum, where Ms. Yap was able to get acquainted with the history and achievements of the educational institution, then continued in the library, which stores rare publications and specialized literature on the art of ballet and choreography.

Special attention was paid to the ballet corp, where Ms. Yap visited ballet halls 311, 309 and 306. The guests had the opportunity to observe the students' learning process, which allowed a deeper understanding of the uniqueness and complexity of ballet art, which is taught at the academy.

The visit became a landmark event in cultural exchanges between Kazakhstan and Singapore, emphasizing the importance of developing and supporting arts and cultural education.
