From January 9 to 14, 2026, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography hosted a “Winter School” for faculty members of higher and postgraduate education, as well as teachers of the professional school-college.
On January 9, 2026, a lecture titled “On Amendments and Additions to Order No. 194 of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 30, 2024 ‘On Approval of the Unified Educational Program ‘Adal Azamat’ in Educational Organizations” was held. The participants were introduced to the goals and content of the Unified Educational Program “Adal Azamat,” which has been implemented since 2024 through homeroom classes, safety lessons, social projects, and educational activities.
On the same day, a seminar-training session “Effective Interaction within a Team” was conducted for school-college teachers, aimed at developing communication skills, trust, and teamwork.
For university and school-college teachers, a seminar-training session “Key Tools for Mental Health Development” was held on January 12, 2026. The session was delivered by partners from the International Center for Psychology and Development “Metapsychology.” Participants became familiar with practices of emotional hygiene, burnout prevention, and self-regulation.
As part of the continuation of the “Winter School,” on January 13, 2026, explanations were provided regarding changes in regulatory documents governing the organization of the educational process, including amendments to paragraph 17-2 of Article 47 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education.” A presentation was also delivered on the results of the Academy’s participation in the National University Ranking and on preparations for institutional and specialized accreditation.
In addition, a separate block was devoted to the use of artificial intelligence in education. Alexander Pyagai presented “The Use of AI Technologies in the Educational Process.” Using examples such as HeyGen and Gemini, he demonstrated how AI can accelerate the preparation of materials, visualization, and communication in teaching. Zhaukhar Kozhantayeva shared her experience in applying the case-study method, describing the stages and conditions for creating a case and outlining the structure of a case solution. Young lecturer Aitgul Azamat presented information on the algorithm for using the NotebookLM platform. An overview of the application of artificial intelligence in education was also presented, in which Riza Akhitova paid special attention to how these technologies are used for data analysis, process automation, personalized learning, and the creation of intelligent digital tools in the educational environment. In the final presentation, Diana Agzamova spoke about the possibilities of using AI to create choreographic assignments and emphasized the importance of formulating clear and precise prompts so that neural networks can generate tasks accurately and effectively.
On the final day of the “Winter School,” January 14, 2026, library staff conducted events titled “Active Methods for Promoting Reading,” including interactive games such as “Book Bingo” and “Create Your Own Story.” In addition, via the Zoom platform, they organized a training seminar on working with the electronic library system “University Library Online,” with the participation of ELS representative Yulia Lavrentyeva.
