At the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography in Science Cafe, Esentemirova Aigul Maratovna - Vice-Rector, PhD, shared with the audience the key aspects of the “Young Scientist” competition which is the winner of grant funding for 2024-2026.
“Young Scientist” competition is aimed at supporting fundamental and applied research, attracting talented young people to science, creating conditions for training highly qualified researchers and the development of scientific potential of the country.
During the conversation Esentemirova A. shared that the contest participants will be able to focus on such priority areas as ecology and environmental management, energy and transportation, digital and space technologies, as well as social and humanities. Important attention is paid to research in the field of national security, life science and health, which is key to the sustainable development of Kazakhstan.
The Vice-Rector also noted that to participate in the competition applicants must be under 40 years old, have a PhD degree and experience of publications in international peer-reviewed journals. For each project provides funding of up to 30 million tenge with implementation within three years. Applications can be submitted from September 5 to October 4, 2024 through the electronic system.
In addition, Aigul Maratovna shared her personal experience of receiving grant funding. She told about what steps and efforts it took to achieve this result, and also emphasized the importance of thorough preparation and meeting all the requirements of the competition.
