In October, primary school students at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography took part in art therapy sessions titled "The World of Emotions." The sessions aimed to develop children's emotional intelligence—a key skill for future artists who must not only express their feelings on stage but also understand the emotions of others.
Art therapy creates a safe space where children can freely express their emotions, helping to build self-confidence and improve psychological well-being. This support is especially important for performers who will encounter intense emotional demands and need to work closely with stage partners. Developing emotional awareness and empathy contributes to both personal growth and professional success on stage.
Thus, the Academy’s art therapy sessions not only support the children’s emotional development but also establish foundational skills essential for a successful creative career, helping future artists become more empathetic, emotionally resilient, and prepared for any challenges on stage.
