In February 2026, a series of events aimed at preventing stalking and cyberbullying were held at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
On February 26, 2026, a round table discussion titled “The Right to Personal Freedom: Legal Foundations and Responsibility for Violence, Stalking, and Coercion into Marriage” was organized by the Academy’s psychologists.
Invited guests included representatives of the Yesil District Police Department: Head of the Division for Combating Crimes Against Women, Major of Police Rabiga Mukusheva; Senior Inspector of the same division, Major of Police Zhanar Moldabayeva; as well as Kristina Drozdetskaya, psychologist at the Crisis Center “Qorgau.”
The experts explained the legal framework for protection and the liability for violence, stalking, and coercion into marriage. They outlined the main types of violence and the appropriate course of action in cases of rights violations.
Special attention was given to preventive measures, procedures for contacting authorized bodies, and opportunities for receiving psychological support. During the discussion, students received answers to pressing questions and developed an informed position on issues of personal freedom, respect, and safety.
In addition, two events titled “Cyberbullying and Online Stalking” were held at the Faculty of Arts.
During a discussion session led by curator Alma Kassymova, third-year students of the Art Management educational program examined current issues of digital aggression, personal boundaries, and levels of responsibility in the online space. Throughout the discussion, students demonstrated a strong civic awareness, skills in reasoned debate, analytical thinking, and effective teamwork.
At a debate session led by curator Balabek Saktaganov, second-year Art Management students discussed the problems of digital violence, personal boundaries, and responsibility in the online environment. Participants demonstrated active civic engagement, the ability to defend their opinions with well-grounded arguments, and effective teamwork skills.
The purpose of these events was to discuss mechanisms for the legal protection of individuals and to prevent violations of human rights.
