A lecture on the art of the Kazakh zhyrau was held at the Academy

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography held a lecture “Continuity of traditions of Kazakh zhyrau with the art of batyrs” (“Continuity of traditions of Kazakh zhyrau with the art of batyrs”). The event was organized by the Faculty of Arts of the Academy for students and teaching staff.

The lecture was delivered by the Candidate of Art History of the Department of Musicology and Composition of Kazakh National Conservatory named after Kurmangazy, Professor Aliya Sabyrova. The moderator was Sherkhan Mukhambetzhanov, the 1st year doctoral student of the specialty “Art History”.
