THE PLANET OF ART 2023
The Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs has opened the acceptance of applications for participation in the musical cycle of the International Festival “The Planet of ART 2023”.
Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO clubs, being a part of the world movement, born in 1947 in Japan, was founded in April 2009 and carries out extensive work to promote the ideals and values of UNESCO through the support and development of the younger generation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Today in Kazakhstan there are 182 UNESCO clubs with a total number of more than 17,000 active members, represented in more than 50 cities and 23 villages in 17 regions of the country. The organization implements major youth programs at the intersection of the three main areas of UNESCO activity: creative education, cultural heritage and sustainable development.
February 6, 2023 officially launched the start of the next musical cycle of the International Festival “The Planet of ART 2023,” dedicated to the promotion of the International Year of Dialogue as a guarantee of peace, declared by the United Nations.
The main goal of this project is to realize the creative potential of children and youth by promoting the diversity of cultural expressions and strengthening friendly relations through the construction of peace and harmony based on the concept of “culture of peace.
A distinctive feature of this year’s Festival is the organizers’ desire to speak to young people in their language by promoting contemporary art. In addition, the Festival makes a significant contribution to popularizing the creative work of Kazakh composers and choreographers by introducing their works in a modern interpretation to the musical program of the concert.
All talented representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan aged 12 to 18 years old, striving to develop their vocal, instrumental and choreographic skills, are invited to participate in the project.
The participants of “The Planet of ART 2023” will be able to represent their country and act as young ambassadors of world culture on the international platform of the event.
Thanks to the efforts of a wide range of partners – participation in the competition and the final program of the Festival itself is absolutely free.
According to the results of competitive selection the finalists will be invited to Kazakhstan for an educational and cultural program. Children will have unique possibility to take part in series of trainings and master-classes, to get acquainted with national culture, to get valuable experience of cooperation with leading teachers and art figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan and most importantly to make new friends from all over the world. Two large-scale gala concerts with solemn ceremony of awarding the winners in the cities of Astana and Pavlodar will become the culmination of musical cycle of the Festival “The Planet of ART 2023”. The concerts are a concentration of the world musical culture and the creativity of domestic composers in one theatrical program, where its concept and drama will be directed to the theme of this year’s festival “Matching Hearts”.
