International Dot Day

On September 15, the Academy’s Library celebrated the International Dot Day. The book “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds became the basis of the celebration.

The event was attended by elementary school students, teachers and Academy staff. Inspired by the success of drawing the book’s heroine named Vashti, students and staff of the Academy drew their own drawings, incorporating their own understanding of the dot.

For some, the big Universe turned out to be a dot, while others saw the world as a union of many dots! Both children and adults depicted their vision of the world, showed their creativity, mood, imagination and talent.
