The forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first Kazakh choreographer Dauren Abirov took a place at the Almaty Theater

The scientific conference was held on the first day of the Forum where about 20 people made presentations. Master classes on Kazakh dance were also shown. The leading teacher of Kazakh dance, Gainikamal Beisenova, demonstrated to the audience the main elements of Dauren Abirov’s school.

Izim Toigan and Gulnara Dzhumaseitova made presentations on behalf of the Kazakh National Academy. Each report was presented by master classes. On the stage of the Almaty Theatre, under the direction of Anvara Sadykova and Almat Shamshiev, students of the academy presented to the audience three detailed sketches dedicated to male, female and pair dance.

The forum is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first Kazakh professional choreographer, People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR Dauren Abirov and is aimed at popularizing his work in Kazakhstan, as well as identifying and developing the creative potential of gifted youth.

The forum continued with a grand gala concert. On this day all the eminent creative groups of the country, famous artists of ballet and opera theaters and talented students studying at specialized universities in Kazakhstan performed on stage. In turn, students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography presented four productions to the audience: “Balbyrauyn”, “Zholbarys Zhurek”, “Korkyt” and “Shabyt”. The event was organized by the Union of Choreographers of Kazakhstan.
