The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography’s report concert was held on the Astana Ballet stage

On May 14, 2022 on the stage of “Astana Ballet” theater a report concert of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography for the academic year 2021 – 2022 was held.

The students of the Academy presented to the audience fragments of ballets from the classical heritage of M. Fokin, M. Petipa, A. Gorsky, V. Chabukiani and others, as well as numbers choreographed by contemporary choreographers especially for the Academy. These are productions by such choreographers as V. Medvedev, D. Pimonov, A. Sadykova, A. Shamshiyev, and others.

“The report concert is a joyful event for the students of the Academy, because in this way we sum up the results: the pupils and students today have shown what they have achieved for the past year and how they have grown professionally”, said Bibigul Nussipzhanova, the Provost of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. – At the same time the Academy students have an opportunity to perform on the stage of such a prestigious theater as “Astana Ballet”, which is a large professional stage, which allows the Academy students to feel like real ballet dancers from such a young age. I want to note that every our reporting concert is different from the previous one: every year we offer the audience a new repertoire, new performers and new soloists come on stage. Today we have presented a diverse program, and each piece was interesting. And, as you know, our Academy has a calling card – a performance to the music of R. Drigo’s Romance of the Rosebud and the Moth, a fragment of which we couldn’t refuse to include in the reporting concert.
