Dancing with the Stars

The creative project “Dancing with the Stars” took place at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. 6 star couples competed for the title of the best. Participants presented various dance styles to the jury, from classical waltz to fiery Latin American dances. The professionalism of the performing couples was assessed by the Director of Educational Work and Social Development, Professor of the Department of Pedagogy A. Alisheva; Associate Professor, Doctor PhD B.Saktaganov and graduate of the EP “Pedagogy of Sports Ballroom Dance” M.Amanbaev. The dance was evaluated according to 5 criteria: technique, musicality, artistry, image and originality. Results of the “Dancing with the Stars” project:

• 1st place, Kompanets David and Ruslanova Arai, “Fire Whirlwind” Paso Doble;
• 2nd place, Isaev Dias and Kabyldanova Aizhan, “When you smile?” Quickstep;
• 3rd place, Sysoenkov Ilya and Ashirbekova Dilyarum, “Marjanja” Samba;
• 4th place, Kenes Aida and Denis Koblikov, “Girl from a night Dream” Slow foxtrot;
• 5th place, Akulenko Angelina Amanzhol Nurkeldy, “Love inspiration and music” Slow waltz;
• 6th place, Anelya Segizbaeva and Aimanbetov “Cinderella” Viennese Waltz.

According to organizer Evgeniy Moiseev, such dance projects are necessary to unlock creative potential and develop charisma in students, and they also instill teamwork skills. It is worth noting that all participants are students of the choreography department of the EP “Pedagogy of Sports Ballroom Dance” and the “Arts” department of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
