“Emerald City is near….”

In February 2023 in the library of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography held regular readings with students in grade 4Б of the fairy tale “The Wizard of Oz” by Alexander Volkov. The event was held Tolysbaeva Zhanna, professor, doctor of philological sciences, professor, holder of badge “Y. Altynsarin”, director of scientific work and strategic development of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

Reading and listening to fiction texts together is an interesting process and fosters many positive qualities, especially if it is carried out with children of primary school age and on good literature. Tales by Alexander Volkov have brought up more than one generation of good brave boys and girls who believe in the miracle of friendship and kindness. These values were the topic of conversation in the library today.

During the reading Zhanna Zhanisovna’s acting evoked emotions and smiles of children, and at the end of the meeting children surprised the teacher with their deep and original thoughts, and most importantly – expressed interest in continuing to read this wonderful book that each of us can build our own Emerald City of happiness, having a kind and responsive heart.
