Qazagym dep nur shashqan arai akyn – round table on M. Shakhanov’s jubilee

On December 12 in the Kazakh national academy of choreography was a round table “Qazagym dep nur shashqan aray akyn” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the poet and writer Mukhtar Shakhanov.

The event was organized by the faculty of choreography under the direction of Professor Toygan Izim. The students of the faculties of choreography and arts took part in a round table discussion.

Students prepared presentations describing the life and creative path of the People’s Writer of Kazakhstan, as well as his political career and friendly relations with prominent writers and public figures.

In addition, students conducted a quiz on knowledge of Mukhatar Shakhanov’s biography and work, as well as performed songs written by the poet to music by composer Shamshi Kaldayakov.
