The annual Republican Olympiad was held at the Academy

The Kazakh National Academy of Choreography held a Republican Subject Olympiad among 3-4 year students of the specialty Choreography, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Abirov Dauren Tastanbekovich.
This year the participants of the Olympiad were teams from such Kazakh universities as Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.Zhurgenov, Kazakh National Women Pedagogical University, Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, Kazakh International Kazakh-Turkish University named after K.A.Yasaui and Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.
The first stage of the Olympiad was held at the schools, the second final stage took place at the Academy of Choreography. In the first round of the final stage the participants were evaluated in such disciplines as theory and methodology of teaching classical dance and theory and methodology of teaching folk dance. In the second round the students could show their knowledge of Abirov D.T. and his works by answering the questions of the quiz.
The head of the competition committee was Yelena Sherstneva, the tutor of “Astana Opera”.
According to the results of two rounds the team of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography “Academy stars” won the first place of the Olympiad.

Diploma of II degree awarded the team: “Tomiris” Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University, the city of Almaty
Diploma of II degree awarded the team: “KazNAI ballet” Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T.Zhurgenov, Almaty city
Diploma of I degree awarded the team: “Academy Stars” Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, the city of Astana.
