Unique books have replenished the Academy’s library collection

The wonderful tradition of book giving has existed for centuries and continues today. This tradition is one of the sources for replenishing the book stock of the Academy’s library.

Every year, the Academy Library receives donations of publications from readers, teachers, public organizations, individuals and government agencies.

One of these is the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For several years now, representatives of the ministry have been donating unique books to our library. This time the book fund was replenished with the valuable book “Knowledge of Abai – knowledge of oneself.” It presents “Abai’s Words of Edification,” which is one of the pearls of world literature, articles and notes by famous Kazakh and Russian scientists about his work and parallels with world and Russian literary classics.

Also, the library was given one of the unique books “The Origin of the Kazakh People”, the authors of which are academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ismagulov Orazak and anthropologist Ismagulova Ainagul. The book displays the results of exceptionally comprehensive research on the physical anthropology of the Kazakh people and their ancestors.
