The holiday “Korisu day” was celebrated in the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography.

On the eve of the celebration of Nauryz (holiday), Kazakh National Academy of Choreography held a festive event “Korisu day”. The event which conveys the national values of the Kazakh people was held in the format of a theatricalized costumed musical performance. Students demonstrated the national traditions of hospitality and celebration of “Korisu day”.

Moreover, member of the world-famous folklore and ethnographic ensemble “Turan” Zhantu Dadabaev congratulated the staff and students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography on the first day of the celebration of “Nauryz” holiday. He performed kyu of Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly “Adai” and played improvisation on the Kazakh folk instrument “Shankobyz”

On March 14 the country traditionally celebrates Korisu day. On this day, residents congratulate each other on the coming of spring, express good wishes, pay tribute to an older generation. Also during this holiday people should try to forgive past grievances and enmity.

To this date, Korisu day is gaining popularity in all regions of Kazakhstan.
